TRINE Solar Investment Platform Launch / Investment Opportunity for Solar Entrepreneurs

We at TRINE are enabling solar entrepreneurs in emerging nations to scale their business and impact by providing affordable finance for their projects. We are launching the platform this week and are finalizing the funding pipeline for Q3/4 2016 as well as a bigger financing vehicle for 2017.

Here is what type of projects we are looking for:

- Solar PV technology (solar lanterns, solar home systems or micro-grids, rural electrification - no big MW projects)

- with tangible social impact (# of people “electrified”, # of kerosene lamps avoided, kWh produced, spending on kerosene avoided, in a rural setting)

- profitable economics

- and environmental impact (kg of CO

 

Our financing for a Stage 1 partnership is currently structured in the following way:

- Tranch size Stage 1: $20 000 - $100 000

- Upfront success fee + interest rate on loan

- Debt repayment time :  up to 5 years

Our financing for a Stage 2 partnership is currently structured in the following way:

- $50 000 - $200 000 for investments through platform

- >$500 000 for bigger finance vehicle portfolio per partner (Stage 1 track record required)

- Success Fee + Interest Rate

- Debt repayment time :  up to 5 years
