Klep30 project brings Solar lights to PCSS Munyenge

In its efforts to promote educational performance in off-grid schools, HES Sarl under its Klep30 (Kerosene Lamp Eradication Programme – Vision 2030) launched its new business model last Wednesday, September 23, 2015 on the campus of PCSS Munyenge. The Business model is based on credit sales payable within 90 days through small installments using MTN Mobile Money service. Five (5) teachers including the Principal and the PTA Chairman received the SUN KING PRO Solar LED lanterns. The lantern will STOP them from using kerosene lamp at home in preparating lessons and marking assignments/exams thereby augmenting teaching. They will also save money by charging their cell phone from the lantern.

The School administration is planning to install a Solar Home lighting system where students can study at night under bright light, free of smoke and noise thereby enhancing learning and improving academic performance. To support PCSS Solar Light Project, please contact klep30@camhes.com.
