Where's the proof? Filling the gaps concerning the development impacts of pico PV

Most of us would not question the potential benefits that using a household solar lamp can have over traditional sources such as kerosene lanterns, candles, open fires, etc.  But when it comes to backing up that assumption with robust data, the research is rather sparse.  The Lighting Africa program and the Africa Renewable Energy Access (AFREA) program have initiated joint work to assemble a larger body of robust evidence on the impacts of off-grid PV, with an initial focus on PicoPV.  This…See More

Hi Jenny,

I work with Flexiway Solar, we have invented the Solar Muscle light. It is the smallest and most affordable all-in-one solar lamp and it has been distributed in several countries. It is always good for us to know where we can make the biggest impact and maybe share our own results as well. We won't be in Dakar, as we are a small company with limited resources. (We did attend the Aid Expo in Brussels last month, where our light was  finalist for the Aid Innovation award). It would be great to hear your experiences from Dakar and to see if we could work together.

Thanks,

Harry
